Do you offer individual and/or group tours?

We love visitors and take pride in our history as much as we take pride in the food and services offered. Our tour operator, Turnstile Tours, offers guided food and history tours. We look forward to seeing you soon! For custom tours or special groups, please email us at info@essexmarket.nyc.

Is filming allowing on site?

I’m interested in working at Essex Market. How do I contact the hiring manager?

Each business is independently owned at the market. If you’re interested in working for a particular vendor, please contact that vendor directly. If you’re interested in a career at New York City Economic Development Corporation, visit www.edc.nyc/careers.

Where can I park?

A majority of our customer walk or take public transportation; however, our neighborhood has several on-street parking spaces (paid).

What is the closest subway station and bus stop?

The F, M, J and Z trains are directly outside Essex Market on the corner of Delancey Street and Essex Street. The M14A and M9 buses also stop along Essex Street.

What type of events do you host at Essex Kitchen and how can I register?

Is the market wheelchair accessible?

Yes – and there is a handicap accessible public restroom on the ground floor as well as elevator access to the mezzanine level.

Is delivery available?

Yes, we deliver! Find Essex Market on Mercato. Some prepared food vendors also use a number of delivery services including, but not limited to Uber Eats, Seamless and Grub Hub. Please check individual vendor listings for more information.

Do you offer wholesale?

Yes – grocers, bakers and cheese vendors offer wholesale. Check with the individual vendor to determine if they offer wholesale items you desire.

Which vendors accept EBT?

Grocers, butchers, and fishmongers.

Does the market have lost and found?

Lost and found is managed by market security. You can inquire at the booth located at our Delancey/Essex Street entrance.

Is alcohol sold at the market?

Top Hops to Go carries a number of craft beers that can be consumed at their stall. Grocers also typically offers 4 to 5 varieties of bottled beers for takeaway only.
