Join us for La Cocina de Loisaida, a monthly hands-on cooking classes where we celebrate the rich cultural traditions of Puerto Rican cuisine.

Each month we’ll explore a new batch of family favorites from Maria Bido, all based in authentic Puerto Rican flavors.

In this class we're going to enjoy delicious Puerto Rican Street Foods! The dishes we will make are a phenomenal combination of traditional Caribbean Flavors.

• Pionones - Sweet Plantain Cups filled with Picadillo

• Relleno de Papa - Fried Potato filled with Picadillo

• Limber de Coco - Coconut Icees

The class will be approximately 1.5 hours long and include time to savor the dishes you prepare together as a group. La Cocina de Loisaida takes place in the Essex Kitchen -- Essex Market's demonstration and teaching kitchen located on the market's mezzanine level.
